Monica knew from a young age she wanted to work with children. She started volunteer work at an orphanage in South Africa from the young age of 16 years where she realized then the support needed in such organizations and furthered her career in child care. Monica is a qualified Kinderkineticist/Paediatric Occupational Therapist from the University of the Free State in South Africa. Monica trained and specialized in Vision Therapy where she spent 12 years working in this field, 10 of those years in Dubai, United Arab Emirates where she expanded her skills further by working in a diverse, culturally rich environment and got to witness firsthand how cultural beliefs may impact areas of both an adult and child's life. Through her years of working with children and families she identified an ever-growing need for parental support and intervention. Monica is currently on a sabbatical and living back in her home country of South Africa embracing farm life but still wants to find a way to help others where she has expanded her studies in Integrative Mental Health Coaching through the Dr. Nickerson Institute to diversify her treatment to include adult support and focus on mental well-being for families. Monica focus's on 5 main areas of coaching: Vision Coaching Parental Coaching Mindset Coaching: with a specific use of EMDR Coaching Tools Resilience Coaching Health Coaching.
