What is Cooperative Communication?

Drawing from the highly effective Nonviolent Communication method, Cooperative Communication at Work demonstrates how to increase awareness of yourself and others, identify feelings as they relate to behavior and needs, and employ practices that lead to positive outcomes and healthier, productive relationships.

Relationships are Key

  • We know that relationships have a profound impact on the quality of our professional and personal lives.
  • We know that communication is the key to building and maintaining quality relationships.
  • Despite that knowledge, only a few of us invest the minimal time it takes to learn how to use cooperative communication skills.

Cooperative Communication at Work lays the foundation for sustainable change in both intra- and interpersonal relationships. It helps to broaden one's perspective, shift from a judgmental to objective mindset, evoke compassion toward self and others, and gain a deeper understanding of what makes people tick.

"I really enjoyed this course and how engaging it was. The games, activities, and reflection questions helped me to really apply the concepts and practices to real life. It’s interesting how learning about the different ways of communicating and barriers to connecting with others allow you to really examine your own blind spots in both personal and professional relationships. Jeannette has a gentle way of calling out these tendencies that encourages introspection, and offers strategies to enhance connection and communication in the workplace (but really can be applied to any relationship). Her warm approach and personal anecdotes certainly keep things interesting!"
